In the 2012 Reader’s Choice Awards decided by the readers of the prestigious magazine Condé Nast Traveler (a reference in the world of luxury travel), the legendary Monegasque palace received 7th place in the Hotels in France and Monaco category.
Travel & Leisure Award
The Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo was also honoured by the readers of the international magazine Travel & Leisure, dedicated to high-end travel. Every year, Travel & Leisure asks its readers to vote for their favourite travel-service providers: hotels, clubs, spas, etc. It is therefore an exclusive, demanding and knowledgeable public that once again expresses its satisfaction and attachment to the legendary Monegasque palace.
Prix Villégiature “Grand Prize for the Best Hotel in Europe”
This prize reinforces the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo‘s position as the European luxury hotel market leader. With its 182 rooms and suites, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo has been the mythical palace of the Place du Casino for almost 150 years.
A jewel in the luxury Monegasque hotel business since 1864, the Hôtel de Paris has always embraced modernity without compromising its legendary status. Overlooking the sea and adjacent to the Monte-Carlo Casino and the Opéra Garnier, this jewel of Belle Époque architecture has always been held in high esteem by the world’s most important people. It is no coincidence that the hotel was exclusively reserved for the wedding of HSH Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco.
The quality of its reception and service are inimitable thanks to the know-how of the men and women who work there, offering customers so much more than what you’d expect, even in a great palace. The Hôtel de Paris is also an important place for high-end gastronomy thanks to its exceptional cuisine where Mediterranean flavours are expressed in their subtlest forms.
Starting in 2014, the five-star hotel will begin a vast four-year renovation programme. This transformation will concern all aspects of the establishment and include the creation of a garden courtyard, a rooftop villa and a spa and fitness area with a pool. The space will be redistributed. Only the lobby (renovated in 2011), the Bar Américain, the Salle Empire and the three-star restaurant Louis XV – Alain Ducasse, which will be celebrating its 25-year anniversary on 16, 17 and 18 November, will not be changed.
