Aquagym is a complete physical exercise that is open to people of all ages. It is also called aqua-tonic / aqua-maintenance / aqua-douce (light aquagym) or aqua-abdos (abdominals) depending on how intense the courses are and what parts of the body are targeted.

Aquagym helps work on the body’s muscles.  Buttocks, abdominals, thighs, arms and shoulders: all the muscles are used!

The underwater exercises are not only enjoyable, they also provide the same results as an exercise session in a room.

The main advantage is that all movements feel easier in the water, even if they are just as effective. At the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo, this advantage is even more obvious because of the sea water and its salt concentration, making you even lighter!

Spinning

Spinning is a foolproof method for slimming and toning buttocks, thighs and legs. The bonus is reliving the childhood joy of riding a bicycle.

The abdominals are naturally toned, and the music played during each spinning course is a very pleasant aspect of this sport.

Spinning effectively combines aerobic exercise, muscle training and musical rhythm.

Note: A handful of oats and grapes can add motivation and boost energy just before a workout!

Ski fans

The end of summer also marks the beginning of preparations for winter sports. Our region is exceptional in that we enjoy a gentle Mediterranean seaside climate with ski resorts close by. Let’s take advantage of that, but also prepare our bodies properly for the demands of skiing.

Winter sports absolutely require full physical preparation which is often neglected. Beyond simple performance, basic preparation prevents classic aches and pain (muscle pain etc.).

Moreover, skiing can cause falling which is better tolerated if you are in good overall shape.

To prepare properly, a training period of at least six weeks is required. It’s time to think about organising this preparation period.

Our physical therapists and sports coaches will be happy to propose a personalised training programme so that you can stay in great form and enjoy skiing all winter.
