29th Spring Arts Festival

 
 

Under the presidency of HRH the Princess of Hanover, Monte-Carlo’s Spring Arts Festival will be held over 5 weekends from 15 March to 14 April 2013.

Printemps des Arts

 

Come along to the 29th Spring Arts Festival in which major international performers will take to the stage to present an original extravaganza reflecting their various cultures.
Music, the common language of all these artists, has the power to unite and transcend all boundaries. The festival boasts a unique programme with performances held in a variety of venues, all waiting to be discovered.

 

 

On the Agenda :

 

Weekend 1: 15 to 17 March 2013: Concert featuring violin sonatas, cello sonatas and Beethoven’s piano trios.

Weekend 2: 22 to 24 March 2013: Quartet nights to delve into the world of Béla Bartok, a modern composer who uses Central European peasant folklore to lay the foundations of a whole new musical style.

Weekend 3: 28 March to 1 April 2013: Traditional Khmer music and the Royal Ballet of Cambodia.

Weekend 4: 4 to 7 April 2013: Stravinsky by Gergiev, supported by the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra; Congo Night with four music and dance groups from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Weekend 5: 12 to 14 April 2013: A fireworks finale accompanied by Beethoven masterpieces.
